How is my bill calculated?

The bill calculation includes five main items, which constitute the total amount of the bill.

  • Energy Consumption Charge,
  • Municipal Consumption Tax (BTV),
  • Value Added Tax (VAT).

The Energy Consumption Charge is obtained by multiplying the unit prices set by EPDK (Energy Market Regulatory Authority) with the consumption recorded each quarter of the year.

Other charges besides the Energy Consumption Charge:

  • BTV: As per the Municipal Revenues Law No. 2464,
  • VAT: As per the Value Added Tax Law No. 3065

are collected and transferred to the relevant institutions/organizations.

How is my tariff charged?

Retail sales license holders in the electricity market are required by the Electricity Market Law No. 6446 to apply tariffs determined by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) to their customers. These tariffs are updated quarterly and published in the Official Gazette.

Why is my bill not issued despite not using electricity?

There could be several reasons for your bill not being issued:

  • Low consumption,
  • Technical faults or inability to access the meter during reading,
  • Incorrect subscription,
  • Faulty meter.

In such cases, you can start an inquiry by contacting our Call Center or the nearest Customer Service Center (MÜHİM).

What should I do if I didn't receive my bill or lost it?

You can check all your bill debt information (excluding those under enforcement) by specifying your account number at our Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM) or partner institutions. You can also request a copy of your bill through our website or obtain it from our Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM).

What should I do if I think my bill is incorrect?

Electricity bill amounts can vary due to seasonal usage and the number of days between reading periods. For example, even if devices like refrigerators, air conditioners, or water heaters are used at the same level, seasonal differences can cause variations in consumption.

Differences between reading dates can also affect your bill.

If you believe your bill is incorrect after considering these factors, you can file a report through our website, mobile app, Call Center, or Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM), providing your account number and, if possible, the meter readings for faster processing.

Where can I find/ pay my overdue debts?

You can find and pay overdue debts at our Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM).

What should I do if I made a payment to someone else's account?

You can rectify the issue by presenting the original payment receipt to the service center where you made the payment, or by creating a record through our website or mobile app.

What should I do if my electricity hasn't been restored despite paying my bill?

Electricity restoration is carried out within 24 hours in areas with urban planning and within 48 hours outside urban areas. If your electricity is not restored within these times, you can file a report through our website, mobile app, Call Center, or Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM).
