How is my bill calculated?

There are essentially 5 separate items in the bill calculation that make up the total amount of the bill.

  • Energy Consumption Fee,
  • Municipal Consumption Tax (BTV),
  • VAT.

Energy Consumption Fee is the amount obtained by multiplying the actual consumption by the unit prices set by EPDK, which are renewed every quarter of the year.

The amounts other than the Energy Consumption Fee are;

  • BTV: As per the Municipal Revenues Law No. 2464,
  • VAT: As per the Value Added Tax Law No. 3065

and are collected and transferred to the relevant institutions/organizations.

How is my tariff charged?

The tariffs that retail sales license holders operating in the electricity market apply to their users are determined by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) according to the Electricity Market Law No. 6446, and the application of these tariffs is a legal obligation for licensed companies. The tariffs of the electricity market are renewed every quarter of the year and are published in the Official Gazette to come into effect.

Even though I am not using electricity, my bill hasn't arrived. What could be the reason?

The absence of your bill may be due to several reasons:

  • Low consumption,
  • Technical malfunctions during reading or inability to access the meter,
  • Incorrect subscription,
  • Faulty meter

In this case, you can initiate an inspection by contacting our Call Center or your nearest Customer Service Center (MÜHİM).

My bill did not reach me / I lost it, what can I do?

You can check all your bill debt information (not under enforcement) by specifying your account number at our Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM) or partner institutions, request copies of the bill through our website, and also obtain them from our Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM).

I think my bill is incorrect. Where can I apply?

The amount of your electricity bill may vary according to seasonal usage and the number of days between reading periods. For example, despite having the same usage levels for devices like refrigerators, air conditioners, and water heaters, consumption may increase or decrease due to seasonal differences.

Additionally, increases or decreases in the meter reading dates can cause variations in your period bill.

After evaluating these factors, if you think your bill is incorrect, you can create a record by applying through our website, mobile application, Call Center, or Customer Service Centers (MÜHİM) with your account number and, if possible, the meter readings for faster processing.
